Are you thinking of a Hunter's star? Orion's star is a Log Cabin with a star in the middle. There IS a flying goose in there, but not a Y seam in sight. I looked on Debby Maddys' site and it looks like a Hunters star. Might help in your search.
No it is not Hunter Star not made log cabin made with large half sq triangles and blocks can`t even find the pattern on line.
