I do have to agree with your assessment of heaven. How wonderful your son not only wants one but enthusiastically wants one and is being so active in the process. I don't know about you, but the giftee is constantly on my mind when I am making them a quilt.
I think the best thank you I ever got for a quilt was when I made my DMIL one and after giving to her and her oohing and ahhhing over it, she scrunched it up and hugged it close to her and said "I can't believe someone loves me so much they made me a quilt" I just about melted into a puddle of goo right then and there.
