Isn't it wonderful to return to quieter times when the power goes out.
We don't have a generator, figured I've made it to 60 without one, why get one now. We sit on our porch during summer outages and light up a lantern and read. Its so dark and quiet.... until all our neighbors turn on their generators LOL
I just enjoy "making do" with what I have at hand. Of course, I wouldn't want to do it for a week - our out house isn't functional anymore
