Default I need your HELP and suggestions please

I'm making this quilt for one of my past students. She is expecting her first baby in July - its a girl. Her theme is Hello Kitty. There is a 6 inch sashing around the quilt in the hello kitty fabric and it will be bound in bright pink. Anyway, what I need help with is how to quilt this. As you can see from the pictures, the back will be a block pattern so that the quilt will be usable as the baby grows up. As it turns out, when I placed the front on my own twin bed, I realized it was big enough to cover it. I got the brainy idea to make the quilt reversible. But now, I realized I don't know how to quilt it so that the front and back will look equally good.

Any suggestions would be so greatly appreciated.

Thank you
Patti
