Great response Maniac. However, I did have a quilt with red and blue (military) fabric in it and when I put it in the drier (not washed) just in the drier to fluff it up, the red and the blue bled on the white.

I used vinegar and salt in the wash cycle and the bled colors came out of the white. I also game them instructions to wash in cold water with a cup of vinegar and dry on warm cycle. So far, it has worked them and they have been married for 3 years.
