I decided on a pattern and my husband did the math to make sure it would fit evenly on the horizontal and vertical borders. Not sure exactly what he did but he used the word hypotenuse. He suggested I use my cricut to cut a template. I haven't scrapbooked in over a year so it took me over 15 minutes to find my deep cut blade but I finally found it. I used chipboard and made the template.

Using ceramic pencil and painters tape I got the border ready for marking. By that time it was getting late, but I did lay out the first set before calling it quits for the night.

I think the design I chose for the border will compliment the stars well. Tomorrow I will quilt the borders and begin the binding process. It must be completed by lunch on Friday. Good think I like a tight deadline. lol
