My DH just asks "are you going to use it" and I say "yes" (what else would I say...no?), then he's perfectly fine with it. I've been through a lot and he wants me to be happy. He was even encouraging me about a LA machine, but I know I wouldn't get the full use out of it so got the big Bernina instead. Of course, he has his obsessions too. At least my stuff can be contained in one room!
