You need to take your Bernina in at least once a year for servicing just like your car. There are places you can't reach that dust bunnies can accumulate. I have a 1020 and a 1530 and have both manuals. Have you a removable hook?? You need to oil the hook race with 1 or 2 drops of oil. Use only a good quality of oil.
