I just took a class with Jinny Beyer on hand piecing diamonds. It was called Diamonds Galore. She's such a wonderful teacher and quilter. She does all of her patterns by hand. I've always wanted to learn to hand piece to have my hands busy while being with my mother, who's now 98, and likes my presence with her, but not as much talking as we used to.
If you ever get a chance to study with Jinny or her videos and shows, try it. There's definitely a learning curve, but I'm enjoying the process. Her class schedule is on her website:

She also has free patterns available as well. If you're ever planning a trip to DC and northern Va, look into her classes.
It was a wonderful experience and look forward to taking more classes.
