Default Darn it, made a blunder right at the finish!

I had to make a wall hanging for an online exchange and the whole time I was worried that I make a mistake and was so happy that it all went so well ... until the end! I was on a deadline to finish and send it off, and not sure if that is the reason or not but I was putting on the binding by machine (I don't hand sew) and I'm going along thinking how nice the thread matches etc etc and about halfway done I'm realizing it doesn't look right. OMG I put it on backwards! Huge sigh of frustration, what to do what to do ... because I did some thread painting on it I had fused it to Peltex to stabilize the stitching. I decided to leave it, have it be 'homemade' and quaint ... afraid that unsewing would leave needle holes in the top ... if it were for me I would not mind ...
