The Wayback machine is actually an archive of internet pages. When something is deleted, or moved, the link/bookmark may not work anymore. But when something is deleted from the internet it isn't usually completely gone, it is saved somewhere but the normal link doesn't work anymore. Named of course after Peabody's machine from the old cartoon. Here is a link to the page:
