This might be due to it shrinking when washed and ending up without enough material. I never buy FQs. I have never found them to be what they are cut out to be.
One full 1/4 yd. from the bolt is cheaper than a FQ,. Pass the left over to someone or add to a scrappy quilt.

I aggree,you would better of buying a 1/4 0r 1/2 yard, then if it shrinks= runs you should have a useable piece of fabric to use! I wash everything that comes into my house,can no longer be sure where its been or where it came from!!!!!
