If you are using the pattern from Alphabet Soup, you need to follow the directions EXACTLY, in order to make the logo look like it is supposed to. Usually, in quilting, little mistakes are not noticeable, but with this particular pattern, "little" mistakes become glaring. Ask me how I know, lol.
Sorry, but at least you realized it before you sewed all the blocks completely, so it will mean a bit less ripping,
