I only did the piece work and binding. My sister's friend Lee does all her machine quilting for her. I recently put together a hand crank 127 for use when in the field during their civil war reenactments where Lee can repair clothing as needed. We made a deal where I receive shop credit and she got a 1917 127 w/handcrank. I did get to pick out the design and thread and Lee did the machine quilting for me. I find that I like a slightly wider binding, say 3/4" finished size, and will incorporate it into my next project which will be going to Lee next week.
