I too love the cutting process. At this time, I personally see no reason to invest in one of those fancy cutters. I'd rather spend my money on fabrics, and cut them with less waste.
I am lucky in that I have keys (or DH does) to the church and since it is only a block away, I sandwich all my quilts there on the tables. Most of the time I save my sandwiching when we have a "UFO" weekend and my friends will all help me sandwich and spray baste my quilts.
