I use the shape cut rulers too, and you're 100% correct, I love those things!! I have several sizes but the one I use the MOST by far is the 2-1/2 strip cutter. I have been making my own "jelly rolls" and "layer cakes" with it and it's probably saved me hundreds of dollars compared to buying them pre-cut. Plus I can cut them from pre-washed fabric and not have any worries about shrinkage or bleeding. Bonus on top of bonus!
