Library Lil - LOVE the idea of an all food I Spy for a picnic blanket! Fun! I just discovered some "plums" fabric that I forgot I had. I didn't put it in this swap, but will include it in the next one.

So, I mail ordered this plum fabric in 2009 when I was making a Little House on the Prairie quilt. My homeschool co-op had gone through the Prairie Primer curriculum (it was FABULOUS!!), and each of us chose a book in the series to represent with a quilt block. My block was "On the Banks of Plum Creek." So I ordered this, but in the end I decided to fussy cut a fabric with a stream on it and then use tan and plum colored fabric to finish it. So there is the long version of why I have plum fabric sitting around, unused. I'm sure none of you do things like that!

Another fun thing I did for that quilt is have each child in the co-op sign a block (kids were ages 3 to 13). These go around the outside, as a border. So sweet to see their handwriting. That was a golden year.
