I also have a Bernina. I am also way over due for my service. The Bernina dealer wants $79 to look at it.... and so I looked at another reputable sew and vac dealer. He will service for $39. He said if he finds anything that is covered by warranty, he would let me take it to an authorized dealer to fix. What do you think Is it worth the extra $40 ( that I could spend on fabric)?
