SO glad you'll have a like-new machine. In my experience, Bernina dealers/mechanics really know their stuff! I was once getting ready to sew on my old Bernina 830 Record (the mechanical 830) when the bobbin thread wouldn't pull up. I was at a friends for a sewing day and the shop in OKC was closed due to a snow storm. So I searched online for Bernina, called the first number that came up and it was a dealer in Provo, Utah. After a question or two, he suggested that I didn't have my needle fully "loaded," and that is exactly what the problem was!
