Hi bobbie,
The points are the challenge in this one. There have been some excellent suggestions given here.
However, I never have gotten the center star as perfect as I wanted it to be. I finally did an 8
pointed star piece to go over that section and will applique it on that spot when I'm finished.

After tearing out alot of stitches and using my own brain (instead of the instruction sheet a couple
of times), I finally have it close to done and I'm pleased with it.
One thing for sure....sew from dot to dot. Derrick says 'sew thru the dot in some places' and that
simply does not work for me when you're matching points and seams. AND I did quite a bit of
hand work to make things match, too.
Tomorrow I'll be starting the border (square 3).

Also, they are really short on a couple of the fabrics in this kit. SO cut carefully. I ended up having
to ask for a bit more of two of them and the company sent them without charge.

When I started this one, it was labeled as Intermediate. I never would have bought a 'challenging'.
And I won't buy one again for awhile. BUT it really is beautiful. I love Derrick's quilt designs and
have done most of his Bargellos without any problem (after the first one. lol).

SO...do it! You'll love it debbie.
Happy Quilting Gang!! and again, thanks for your input on this one.
