I also discovered a couple other problems. I have a Singer 201 black chrome - it doesn't have the holes to mount the belt guard. It also has a light cord hard wired in. It would have to be dealt with, too. Check the machine to be sure it will assemble before you order any parts.
Singer 15 - 4 holes - the two larger holes are for the motor - the smaller holes will accept a belt guard and older type throat plate screws.

Singer 201 - 2 big motor holes - no belt guard holes

I don't know if my other 201 has those holes or not - oops I thought I turned it....
