Hi there I live in Penrith Australia. Penrith is about a 45 min drive from Sydney, it is a beautiful Western suburb on the banks of the Nepean River at the foot of the Blue Miuntains. You son will be canoeing at the Olymic Course which is a wonderful facility. You don't say when you son is coming so can't comment on weather. We are coming into winter now and temperatures on a lovely day are about 25 centigrade, but the nights for us can get cold, maybe about 10 To 15.
