I purchased a yo yo maker and I loved it. It was sturdy and helped make stitches that ruffled evenly when I pulled on the thread. I had a pair of jeans that were too short so I sewed the yo yos around the hem of the jeans making them long enough so that I could wear them. They turned out pretty cute.
