There was only one disappointment: when piecing or even hemming it didn't feel solidly in my control. It felt a bit "soft." Another way to explain it is that the fabric didn't seem to be held firmly enough by the presser foot, and so it was not effortless to keep the seam going straight. As a result I looked for the pressure adjustment, but to my dismay it was already on 3 and could only be turned up to 4. This was a digital control as many of you know. I did turn it up but was not sure I even felt a difference in the sewing/feed. I was so sure this was the machine of my dreams, but now I'm having misgivings and second thoughts. Excellent stitching and straight feed are things I feel should not be compromised. Why are these so hard to come by with the newest machines? Has anyone else noticed this issue with the Brother V Series?
It could also be because the had the foot on it that is more for embroidery. It is meant to hoover over it. I have a Diamond and I tried to do just a short seam and it was difficult with the wrong foot because it didn't grab the foot, I ended up putting the correct foot on it and it was fine. I like the dreamweaver, I've sewn on it a few times. There are good things and then there are things that my machine has that I'd miss if I switched to it, so I'm staying with my Diamond Deluxe
