This is a little different twist to the D4P! The slices are made on the diagonal and gives a different look to the block! Yes, some of my hst's are 1/4" wide!
You lose 2.5" after cutting the blocks down so I worked up a chart for you to know what size squares you need to cut to get a certain size finished block. Here's the chart:
- Cut (2) 8" squares to get a 13.5" block to finish @ 13"
- Cut (2) 7" squares to get an 11.5" block to finish @ 11"
- Cut (2) 6" squares to get a 9.5" block to finish @ 9"
- Cut (2) 5" squares to get a 7.5" block to finish @ 7"
- Cut (2) 4" squares to get a 5.5" block to finish @ 5"
- Cut (2) 3" squares to get a 3.5" block to finish @ 3"
- Cut (2) 2.5" squares to get a 3" block to finish @ 2.5" (this is the size of my mini)
- Cut (2) 2" squares to get a 1.5" block to finish @ 1"
Next you would add 2 coordinating prints and make your 4P.
