leave about 10" of binding fabric loose at the beginning of attaching your binding- then when you get around to the beginning overlap your 2 ends- cut one off so the overlap is the same size as your binding (if you used 2 1/2" strips to make your binding then cut your overlap to be 2 1/2") open the 2 binding ends, fold the quilt so you can manipulate the 2 pieces over each other to sew a diagonal line- stitch the diagonal, trim the (waste triangles) refold the binding and finish sewing it to the quilt. (always check to make sure you sewed your diagonal in the correct direction before you trim the triangles.)
This is the method I have used for all of my quilts. Perfect every time!
