On Monday the 14th I had to shovel 5 inches of snow off the path to the One Room School. The snow plow had put a bank of more than a foot of snow next to the road. I crawled over that to get into the school, but had to make a path before the bus full of children came at 9:00. Just like 1904. It's a museum and we teach like it was 1904.
On Wednesday we had a lot more snow.
The snowy owls are still here. I saw one on Sunday, one last night, and one today - Good Friday. We will have lots of snow yet for Easter.
The reason it is so cold is because the Arctic jet stream has come very far south this year because the ice in the Arctic is melting because of global warming!
