I went to a class with a friend who thought it would be fun. She loved it, me not so much. I remember doing the same thing in 5th grade. Our teacher called it mind resting time. She would give us coloring book pages and we zentangled in the lines. We used one of the black pencils that had the string you pull down. We didn't call it zentangle then though. My DD found some of the pages I had saved and framed them for my granddaughter's room.
