I can wash the pillow case but the organic cotton is to be hung on a line in the sunshine once a month or so. I could probably use a light in winter that is supposed to kill bacteria and such also.

It can also be dry cleaned, I would need to check into what they use to clean with first. My old pillows we never cleaned just bought new ones and we didn't have problems until the fluffy polyester blankets episode. I do however change the bed linens frequently.
