For my first Grandchild, I did a log cabin, one of my all time favorites! I had some Easter fabric with little bunnies all around, so I fussy cut the bunnies for the centers,I used soft neutral baby colors and called it " bunnies in my cabin". Six years later he still uses it.For freinds babies, I've done Pinwheels,snowball, and a 'chain' baby bowtie, all pretty easy in a crib size.
