Default Road to St Louis

We have a organisation called Bedford Industries here in South Australia which helps to change lives of people with disabilities, through employment, training and independent living programs. There are some lovely ladies who collect donated fabrics, cut them out and put together mystery quilt kits ready for sale as a fundraiser. This is done every 2 years as it takes time for the collecting and cutting. Then these ladies come out to the various quilting groups and show us how to create a lovely quilt - we have volunteers who just do unpicking and ironing seams on the day so that the rest can just sew. This quilt is called the "Road to St Louis" and I have to say I have never unpicked a quilt as much as I did this one. Getting all those points in the right place was extremely difficult and I didn't dare take it to my usual long arm quilter lady because of some of the points. I just stiched in the ditch very wobbly! Definitely looks better from a distance!
