The drip pan covers that and you never touch it, so it's no problem. Lead dust or lead oxide is harmful if inhaled or ingested. But you have to touch it and then ingest it, or disturb it so it becomes airborne then breathe it. Just put the bottom cover back on and it won't be a problem.
