OK, I will play. Here is a photo of a couple of intriguing items that were in a drawer of a vintage cabinet I own.

Stamped on the left item is OC White, Worcester, MA, patent pending. I did an Internet search and found this info

The company is still in business today and the vintage lamps it produced bring big prices.
