LOL! glad I'm not the only one! You can always make em shorter, but I hate taking motors apart once I've got em all nicely fixed up inside. So now I leave the cords on motors, waaaayy long, put a temp plug on the end and run em with my test outlet with the dimmer inside of it. Once I'm happy, then I take the chance on shortening it.
