Rosemary's Fabric and Quilts in Highland, IL and CrossPatches in Collinsville, IL are 2 nice shops. Rosemary's is in an old house close to the downtown area and has lots of reproductions and 1930's prints. It is surprising the amount of "stuff" that can fit in a small house. Be sure to check the basement (which is where the sale stuff is)! CrossPatches has more modern fabrics and colors and also sells machines. They are located in a strip mall. Not sure how long the drive would be but would be nice summer drive and can be done in the same day. Not far from Fairview Heights.
