If you use it with size 12 and 14 needles the different needle thing isn't a problem. Mine is the industrial version (extremely heavy, and has a knee lift) but it's lovely, a centennial and this series machine have a vertical bobbin so you can use it for free motion work. I believe it was the first domestic to have a "swing needle" (zig-zag).
As long as you don't need to sew canvas or heavy denim (which you need bigger needles for), the 206 will do it easily, and with zig-zag.
Also, double needles are very hard to find but not impossible: I got a box (three) of them with differing gaps with a 319K I won on eBay a few months ago.
