There's a difference here. You're intending to fix them up and use them, or give them to someone who will. I have had a similar ad, and I state in it that machines that can be re-homed to worthwhile places are.
It's an excellent way to learn how to repair machines at low cost. That said, you're grateful for what you're getting, putting if not monetary equity then sweat equity into the machines and giving them a new life. Most of the people posting "I want" ads are not going to do this.
