I saw this posted in the "block" stage. I make a lot of minis and have found one extra tedious step to be of help. I always trim my seam allowances to 1/8". It keeps the bulk of the center down a bit which helps later on. Another tip - for those puckery borders - is to draw lines on the inside of the backing - all squared up - and pin for basting matching all the lines. Fabric is a delightful medium as it does have stretch. Tug on it a little and you might be able to ease that darling little beauty into submission! Beautiful, challenging, awesome work! Find it a place of honor somewhere, It deserves it!
