My grandmother, a habitual quilter and gatherer, was famous for her "it's just a clip" response. I remember my mother put an Easter dress on me for church, only to find the the seams had been trimmed almost to the point of unravelling! (mother always had to alter my clothes to fit, so there were larger seams). After that, she started using French seams! :lol:
