i am finished the top, or at least what i have so far. it's lying a lot flatter than the picture suggests - i was in a bit of a hurry when i snapped the image. it measures just as the pattern said it would, so i am going to add a 10" border: 4" medium blue, 2" white stripe, 4" dark blue to bring it to a full sized finish.
but not until i get paid as this one is a commission and i am done working on it until the next cheque comes!
thank you for all your lovely words. i still think i should have pieced it dark-light-medium. and i can't even tell you how nervous i am about machine quilting that white with a deep blue thread.
