Just curious. My answers:
  1. Planning - 40% + (probably more)
  2. Cutting- 10% (die or strip cuts)
  3. Piecing or Applique - 40%
  4. Quilting 10% (send out for long arm, bind myself)

I did not include learning. I probably spend just as much time learning via videos, DVD, classes, and reading as I do making each quilt. Its an ADD/OCD thing.
I think my time would be much like yours--perhaps even more in the planning/shopping stage! Once I get the design selected and fabric chosen I usually get the top pieced in a week or so. If I don't send it to the LAQ, my simple quilting style only takes another 3-4 days. Binding is just a couple of evenings in front of the TV.
