If you print it big enough so it fits a printer sheet of paper, you will notice that it is either squares or rectangles. I used a ruler and a pencil and traced a line from top to bottom on this piece of paper to separate it by square, dividing the rectangles into squares and drew lines all over the "pattern". So I could see better if some rectangles measured 1 or 2 or 3 squares in size. One square to me was my basic "value" then I did the same thing for each "line of squares" from one side to the other. It is easier to see and count how many lines you draw and count them and that gave me my "grid" to work from.
