I've asked this before but can you just start out with EQ7 or do you have to start with what ever the first EQ is for it to work?
There are many possibilities to start with EQ: you can take blocks from the library and construct a quilt with them, you can draw blocks of your own and trying different layouts, you can import pictures of your own sewn blocks and see how a quilt will look like with different sashings and borders....
EQ7 is a very extensive programm, you will always discover something new!
I'll show you some pictures I made last year: I was sewing the BOW "Votes for Women", then I took a foto of each block and then I could play with the program looking for example what sashing will be best!

The program also gives you the measurements for each block pattern in any size you want!
