yeah...it would depend on what you want to do with it.
i must say i would be nervous about both though. with the fat quarter pack you have a little of lots of different fabrics. i would probably end up buying yardage for a border to tie it together anyway. with the other, you have just 1 yard of a few, and again you would be constrained in your pattern choice by that.
BUT!
if you have patterns in mind, buy for those!
