Interesting topic. But, since I have really stopped buying fat quarters I am sure that I would go for the yardage because it is so much more versatile. One person, in an comment, said she would like the fat quarters and make a scrappy quilt-but i wonder if that would really qualify as "scrappy" since it is intentionally made from a single line of fabric rather than being coordinated from a large variety of usable scraps of other projects. I am sure it would be lovely and an interesting approach. I hope she posts a picture.
