I am not a lawyer either, but I have a copyright disclaimer on my blog that says that I designed the patterns, I don't hold the copyright of the image used and that the patterns are for personal use only.
It's the standard copyright disclaimer that bigger sites (like Fandom in Stitches,
http://www.fandominstitches.com/) have and that allow everyone to enjoy (for personal uses) tons of PP and embroidery patterns of our favorite characters!
But again, I am not a lawyer but none of the designer had ever had any issue with this I guess!!
