I finally scored!!!
I got notice of an estate sale that started Friday morning. The pictures showed a Janome Horizon with table, an Elna Quilters Dream, lots of quilting tools, and fabric. Couldn't go on Friday, but we went today (Sat). Figured I would be lucky to find anything I wanted, but...
112+ yards of quilt shop fabric (these were all at least 1 yard pieces, one was 5.5!), 105 fat quarters, and a spring-loaded lamp to clip on to my cutting table, all for, are you ready for this: $40.02 !!!!!!! That includes the tax!
You could tell this woman really liked fabric. It was all neatly folded, even the small pieces that I would just throw in my scrap bin were ironed and folded. Fat quarters were in drawers, yardage on shelves.
I don't need a new machine but the Janome was $1500 with the table and all accessories and the Elna was $300.
And my husband and I got to enjoy a beautiful ride together! Couldn't ask for anything more! Love life!
