Welcome to Philadelphia! I live in the western suburbs and the most "happening' place" is Steve's Sew and Vac in King of Prussia on Route 202, a mile from the King of Prussia mall. There are many fabrics, notions, and classes in quilting as well as in apparel and other charity/special event/project activities. If you don't become a regular at the store itself, I feel certain you would find others there who do know of a group/bee setting. Check out the website
