It pays to be patient
I participated in a block party, in 2013, that you had to buy the different blocks from many quilt shops. It was interesting because you got to see the other shops and what they had to offer. The blocks were $10 each. I completed the quilt, 88x104, and wanted to back it with the same fabric as the quilt top but it was cost prohibitive. I kept checking every day to see if any shop had a discounted price. On Friday I got an e-mail from Hancocks-Paducah that they were having a big sale. Went to the site and was casually strolling through the sale fabrics when I spotted the fabric I needed for $4.96 a yard. Needless to say I jumped on it and ordered it. Will post a picture after it is quilted.
