I do all of my quilting on a home sewing machine. I like the Superior top stitch needles 90/14 amd 100/16.
The machine that has the longest throat is, my Viking Sapphire 875(10"), followed by the Pfaff 1222e(8"), Bernina 930(7") and Bernina 1031(6.5"). For many years the 1031 was my only machine. I quilted queen size quilts with the 1031, it wasn't fun. I do both walking foot and FM quilting. I make many baby and twin size quilts every year for the 2 charities that I make quilts for.
I've tried quilting with the Pfaff 60 treadle, its okay for straight line quilting, but not FM, the back looked messy. I might have to see how the White rotary does. The above mentioned electric machines all share a large Horn cabinet.
